Michael Barrymore Biography
Michael Ceiran Parker was born on May 4th 1952 in Bermondsey, London.
Michael grew up with a dream to be an entertainer, and in 1972, Michael joined Butlins as a Red Coat.
Michael then went on to doing shows in clubs. This proved to be a difficult time for Michael, but he carried on regardless.
Michael Parker became Michael Barrymore at the request of The Actors Union and Billy George. The Georges became Michaels managers and through them, plenty of bookings were coming Michaels way.
Michael would send home money to his proud mother, he wanted to buy his mum a new house with his wages, but Mrs Parker was happy where she was and very proud of her son.

In 1987, Michael made his first episode of “Strike It Lucky”, the show became so successful, that he went on to make 9 other episodes. From this show, his career snowballed.
